Join our Open Party fishing trips in beautiful Santa Barbara and experience professionally guided sportfishing aboard our fully equipped vessels. Whether you’re looking for a quick ½ Day trip or a longer ¾ Day adventure, our open party trips are perfect for individuals, families, and small groups who want to share the experience and split the cost.
All trips depart from Santa Barbara Harbor and are operated by our experienced, licensed captains and crew.
1/2 Day Fishing Trips
The Stardust runs 1/2-day trips every Wednesday. (Unless there are private charters) We fish along the Santa Barbara Coast, and there will never be more than 30 people on the Stardust! The 1/2-day fishing is very unique because most fishing spots are so close, 10-30 minutes away, so most of our time is spent fishing.
These trips are designed for light tackle fishing, like bass gear or spinning gear. It is always recommended to bring a heavier setup as well. We target barracuda, bass, bonito, rockfish, ling cod, sheephead, ocean whitefish, halibut, and even white sea bass (depending on the time of year). These 1/2-day trips are normally very productive.

3/4 Day Fishing Trips
The Stardust goes 3/4-day fishing Thursday-Tuesday, March 1-December 31. The Coral Sea will run 3/4-day trips every day. We fish from the west end of Santa Cruz to the west end of Santa Rosa Island with a limited load of 30 on the Stardust and 25 on the Coral Sea.
We also fish the coast from Ventura to San Augustine. The fishing on 3/4-day trips is very good; don’t be surprised to come home with a bag full of fish! Most of the fish we catch are very good eating; can you say fish tacos? Our open party trips are freelance fishing trips, meaning we go where the fish are, ensuring you come home with a bag of fish. The species we expect to catch are big quality rockfish, ling cod, whitefish, sheephead, white sea bass, halibut, and a variety of surface fish such as bass, bonito, & barracuda.

We offer 1/2-day & 3/4-day deep-sea fishing trips every day!
We offer Senior rates (65+) on all trips Monday-Thursday and kids rates every day (12 and under). The Stardust runs with a maximum of 32 passengers on all trips. The Coral Sea is a limited-load boat that runs with up to 25 passengers on 3/4-day trips. We always recommend making reservations, which can be secured with a 100% deposit.
Rental gear is available from the Santa Barbara Landing office. Both boats offer a full-service hot galley serving breakfast, sandwiches, our famous burgers, snacks, water, soda, and beer. We can also clean and fillet all of your fish for you!

We reserve the right to make whatever changes in any given trip that circumstances dictate, including cancellation for under-subscriptions, changes in the itinerary due to weather or other conditions, unavailability of a boat, or substitution of a boat as deemed necessary. Departure times may vary. All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Important Information
We are a zero-tolerance vessel; no illegal drugs are allowed onboard, including marijuana, including edibles and vape. We are a USCG vessel federally regulated.
No ice chests or coolers are allowed on the boat. We simply don't have enough room for them. Please, no glass containers. No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted; they must be purchased on board in the galley (photo ID required). Fishing licenses, rods, terminal tackle, food, fish cleaning, and gratuity are NOT included in your ticket price.
Cancellation Policy
Please call Santa Barbara Landing to cancel as soon as you know you can’t make the trip! All trips require a 100% deposit. If you cancel your reservation, you will be issued a rain check. You must call 24 hours prior to the departure of your trip, or you will lose your deposit.
Lost/Forgotten Items
Stardust Sportfishing and Santa Barbara Landing are not responsible for any forgotten, lost, or stolen articles, including but not limited to tackle, phones, clothing, sunglasses, or anything else. Please make sure you have all your personal belongings before you disembark. Please report any missing items immediately to the boat captain, crew member, or the Santa Barbara Landing. As a courtesy, any items found will be brought to the Santa Barbara Landing office and cataloged. Santa Barbara Landing will only retain items for one month. If you realize you have left something after you leave, please contact the Santa Barbara Landing at (805) 963-3564.
